Monica's Story: From Brain Lesions and Depression to a Life Transformed
Some client stories arrive in the clinic and then quietly keep unfolding for years.
Monica's is one of them.
I first met Monica in 2012. When Monica walked into the clinic for the first time, she was carrying a lot.
She had lesions in her brain. She was navigating extreme fatigue, weakness and pain in her arms and legs. And she was living with severe depression — the kind that quietly steals a person's hope before it steals anything else.
The work we began together then became the foundation of what has now been a thirteen-year journey — one that continues to unfold every month, as Monica continues the work in her ongoing sessions.
Her story is one of the most beautiful examples I know of what happens when every layer of a person is finally supported.
In Monica's Own Words
In 2014, Monica recorded a short testimonial that I want to share with you — because I don't believe I could ever tell her story better than she can tell it herself.
"Hi, my name is Monica. Before I started coming to see Amanda, I had a few symptoms from lesions in my brain. So I was extremely tired. Some weakness and pain in my arms and legs. And I had severe depression.
And then I started seeing Amanda. And just within a couple of weeks, I saw massive change. And now, the tiredness is gone, and all my aches and pains are gone. But mainly, just emotionally — I'm just so much happier, and I feel so much better about myself.
It's just been amazing. I highly recommend it to anyone, and I recommend it to all my friends and everyone. It's been fantastic. It's actually changed my life."
— Monica
The Shifts That Came First
In those early sessions, we worked with everything.
The chronic fatigue that no amount of sleep seemed to resolve
The weakness and pain her body had quietly adapted to
The severe depression that had become so familiar it felt permanent
The nervous system patterns underneath all of it
Monica's body responded faster than she had thought possible — but what moved most, early on, was her sense of herself.
The depression began to lift. The fatigue began to loosen its grip. Her body began to feel like it belonged to her again.
That is the first chapter of her story.
But what has unfolded in the years since is where it becomes truly extraordinary.
When Healing Becomes a Life, Not Just a Recovery
A few years after we began working together, Monica attended a Dr Joe Dispenza retreat. The deep internal foundation we had been quietly building — the regulated nervous system, the reconnection with her body, the softening of long-held emotional patterns — met the right environment at the right time.
Something crystallised in her.
She came back changed in a way that still inspires me today.
Here is how Monica described it to me in her own words:
"I started seeing you back in 2012 through my boss. Your work with me saved my life. Then I went to a Dr Joe Dispenza retreat and came back changed forever. That was a quick run down of my journey, thanks to you."
Monica's words moved me deeply. Not because of what she gave me credit for — but because of what her story demonstrates about the deeper design of healing itself.
When we heal our bodies, our relationships with ourselves change. When those relationships change, our lives begin to rearrange themselves to match who we are becoming.
That is exactly what Monica has lived.
The Life Monica Has Built
What has unfolded in Monica's life since those early days is a story of what becomes possible when the foundation is sustained.
She moved into a new rental — a home she had been quietly manifesting at the Dispenza retreat. Her lounge room window looks over a little park, and in her own words: "it doesn't matter what's going on in my life, when I look out the window I smile from ear to ear."
She left a job that was no longer aligned with the person she had become — and trusted the universe to meet her on the other side.
She found a new career in finance — a field she never would have imagined for herself in her earlier years, and one she has thrived in ever since.
She has continued to receive promotion after promotion, and with each one, her financial abundance has quietly expanded alongside her joy.
She has deepened into a spiritual journey that is still unfolding — one that continues to touch every area of her life.
She is an amazing mother who models trust, self-respect and faith in life for her children, every single day.
Her message to me the year she made that transition was one of the most beautiful I have ever received:
“Right now in your life you need to hear from someone who thinks you're amazing, inspirational and just the most beautiful soul. The person who made it possible for me to be on this journey that I could never even have dreamt of”. — Monica

Why Monica's Story Matters
Monica's story is extraordinary — but it is not unusual.
What I have watched with Monica is the pattern I see with my clients who commit to the deeper work. The chronic health symptoms are the entry point. The body is the first thing that softens. The depression quietly lifts. The nervous system finds its baseline.
And then, slowly and steadily, the rest of life begins to catch up.
The job that doesn't fit anymore quietly ends.
The home that is being manifested quietly arrives.
The relationships that need to shift quietly shift.
The spiritual connection that has been waiting quietly deepens.
The abundance that was never possible from the old self quietly flows.
Healing is never just about the body. It is about who you become when your body finally feels safe enough to let you live.
Monica is still my client today. In our sessions, there is a new layer, a new expansion, a new chapter opening in her life.
That is the sacred part of this work.
The healing does not end. It compounds.
