Our greatest challenges can become our greatest strengths.

The Bend Like Bamboo Podcast — real stories of people who've learned to bend without breaking, and the practical tools to do the same in your own life. Hosted by Amanda Campbell.

Welcome to the Bend Like Bamboo Podcast

We discover that our greatest challenges often become our greatest strengths.

Each month, I sit down with remarkable leaders who've transformed adversity into strength, sharing their inspiring journeys of resilience. Together, we explore the mindset shifts, practical strategies and breakthrough moments that turned their setbacks into comebacks.

And between those conversations, I teach - walking you through the BAMBOO Method itself, one pillar at a time, so you can take what you hear and actually apply it to your own healing, your own leadership, your own life.

Like bamboo, we're designed to be flexible. When we embrace that truth, we don't just survive life's storms — we use them to grow stronger, wiser and more resilient than ever before.

Join me as we explore how flexibility builds unshakeable resilience.

What you'll discover inside each episode

  • Real stories of people who've learned to bend without breaking — and what got them through.

  • Actionable tools to transform stress into strength, drawn from nervous system science and lived experience.

  • Inspiration that when we change our story, we can change what's possible — for our health, our relationships and our future.

Hear it lived. Then learn how to live it.

Some episodes are conversations with people who've bent without breaking. Others are Amanda teaching the BAMBOO Method directly. Listen across both and you get the full picture, the proof and the practice.

Conversations with remarkable leaders, founders, athletes and everyday people who've turned adversity into triumph. Honest, inspiring and full of the mindset shifts and breakthrough moments that turned their setbacks into comebacks.

Learn the BAMBOO Method

A solo series where I teach the Bamboo Method— pillar by pillar. Practical, grounded teaching you can apply straight away, whether you're healing from illness or leading through pressure.

Wherever you're starting from, this is for you

Maybe you're navigating an autoimmune condition, chronic illness, or symptoms that medicine hasn't been able to explain. Maybe you're leading a team, a company or a household while quietly running on empty. Or maybe you're simply in the middle of a hard chapter and looking for a way through.

Wherever you are, the same truth holds: the strain you're carrying isn't a sign you're weak — and pushing harder isn't the answer. Real resilience doesn't come from rigid strength. It comes from learning to bend.

That's what this podcast is for. Amanda's own story began with an MS diagnosis at 24, a paralysis at 29, and a 16-year journey into remission. Hey story continued through the boardroom as a startup CEO who learned what it costs to perform without burning out. So whether you're here to heal or here to lead, the conversations and the tools meet you exactly where you are: exhausted but hopeful, cautious but ready for a different way.

Because resilience isn't just for the recovering or the high achieving. It's for anyone determined to bend without breaking.

Never miss an episode.

About your host, Amanda Campbell

Amanda Campbell is a Sports Kinesiologist with 13 years of clinical experience and 16 years in MS remission. Based in Melbourne, she's the founder of Bend Like Bamboo and the BAMBOO Method, and works with people navigating autoimmune or chronic conditions, and founders building incredible businesses, sharing the lessons they have learned along the way.

Her perspective is rare, Amanda has lived it as a patient, she practises it as a clinician, and she's led at the top as a startup CEO. Her work has supported clients and corporate teams across Australia, including Mind Australia, Swisse, Lululemon and Australia Post. The BAMBOO Method she developed is the framework that took her from paralysed at 29 to a thriving life and career, and continues to do the same for the people she works with today.
